Kite Festival held in France

28th kite festival will be held in April at the resort Burke-sur-Mer on the Opal Coast in Northern France.

For 9 days along the sandy beach Berck-sur-Mer will fly hundreds of kites of various colors and fantastic shapes. This place is ideal for the festival, because there’s always very windy.

Every two years, an international meeting of lovers kites conducts world championship line. Teams “Cream Tea” and all-female “Mademoiselle” from France, “Air King” from Japan, “Silat” from Malaysia, “dealer” from Lithuania, “Red Alert” from Russia, “Bogota 2600″ and “Atemok” from Colombia, “Team flame” and the reigning champion “scrabble rabbits” from England and others make this event really incredible.

But that’s not all: on the local beaches exhibitions, a children’s village and a lot of fun on the piers. There offer to participate in the battles Rokkaku kites invented by the Japanese 250 years ago. There is a “wind gardens”, where tourists can enjoy the sweet sounds of the wind playing in the flowers buried in the sand, miniature windmills, straw stuffed cats and made ​​from recycled materials. A night kites soar on background enchanting fireworks.

And the most important thing is that it’s all free.  The festival takes place daily from 10 am to 6 pm , as well as at night.
