Hong Kong and Singapore attracted the highest number of foreign tourists, according to the latest ranking of the top 100 cities, compiled by Euromonitor.
According to the survey, cities in the Asia -Pacific region took 6th position in the top 10 positions and 32 of the top 100 places. From Western Europe to Hit Rating twenty cities.
Hong Kong was so popular mainly because of its northern neighbors. Chinese visitors make up 63.5% of visitors to the city. This is 11.1 % more compared to 2011.
Ban in China on shopping trips, which operates since October 2013, can reduce the Chinese visitors in Hong Kong and Seoul, the report said.
Euromonitor predicts that by 2017 China will be the leader in the international departures, ahead of Germany and Russia.
Currently, Germany, the United States, Britain, China and Russia are among the five countries in the international departures, according to Euromonitor.
Meanwhile, Chinese cities are struggling to attract visitors and gain their trust.
Shanghai, Beijing and Zhuhai occupied lower positions in 2012 due to a slowing economy, “solid” yuan and pollution, the report said Euromonitor.
