Russian scientists have developed an anti-cancer vaccine

Specialists of the Novosibirsk Research Institute have created a vaccine that increases the patient’s life expectancy more than two times.

The vaccine is administered to a cancer patient the third or fourth stage after surgery. However, soon becomes possible to use the drug in the early stages of the disease.

“Extracting from human dendritic cells, we fill them with the antigens of the tumor cells. After their processing by dendritic cells, we introduce them back into the body, where they begin to work, causing a good immune response. In other words, are actively fighting the tumor. In fact, we have not developed a vaccine that prevents the development of the disease, but we developed cell therapy”,- said the academician, Doctor of Medical Sciences Vladimir Kozlov.

The scientist also said that the vaccine is still not a cure for cancer. With the illness must be addressed comprehensively.
